Despite considerable efforts, personal discussions and representations by the Danube Tourist Commission, Ukraine as represented by the commercial section of the country's embassy in Vienna has seen itself unable to continue its membership of the commission and to pay its membership dues. The other members of the Danube Tourist Commission, Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Serbia and Montenegro and Romania represented by their national tourist offices and Casinos Austria AG as supporting member, were thus compelled to draw the appropriate consequences and unanimously voted to terminate Ukraine's membership of the Danube Tourist Commission. This action was taken with great regret, but was necessary in the interests of the Commission as a whole. Should Ukraine wish to resume its membership, the Danube Tourist Commission is ready to open negotiations.
